An online equalizer changes the level of selected frequency ranges in audio. This browser-local online equalizer provides ten fixed bands from 31 Hz to 16 kHz, four presets, Custom state, Bypass comparison, a live spectrum, A–B looping, and 16-bit WAV export. It processes the complete decoded mix rather than individual voices or instruments.
Choose a supported file, play a representative section, and begin with Flat or one named preset. Move one available band in small steps, compare Bypass at the same position, and loop a difficult passage. When the tonal balance works across the file, create the local WAV with the visible gains, shared compressor, and final 0.98 peak ceiling.
The online equalizer defines 31, 62, 125, 250, and 500 Hz plus 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 kHz. A band is enabled only when its center is below half the decoded working sample rate. For a low-sample-rate decoded buffer, upper bands can be unavailable because a digital filter cannot operate at or above Nyquist.
Flat sets all gains to zero. Bass Boost raises low bands, Vocal Clarity emphasizes selected mids, and Treble Boost raises upper bands. They are fixed starting curves, not automatic diagnoses. The online equalizer changes the label to Custom after any manual band move, letting you distinguish a named preset from your own revision.
Bypass temporarily makes the live filters and compressor transparent while preserving all slider values. It helps compare the original tonal balance with the active curve at the same playhead. The online equalizer export still uses the visible gain settings, even when Bypass is on, because Bypass is a listening comparison rather than an instruction to export unchanged audio.
It can raise low bands or emphasize midrange frequencies across the full mix. Whether that sounds like stronger bass or clearer vocals depends on the source and playback system. The online equalizer does not isolate vocals, remove instruments, repair clipping, denoise a recording, or guarantee that a preset will improve every file.
Boosted filters feed the same fixed compressor in preview and offline rendering. WAV export then scans the rendered result and scales it only when a peak exceeds 0.98, preventing direct clipping during 16-bit encoding. This provides protection, yet it is not a mastering service or loudness target. Preview loud passages and avoid unnecessary extreme boosts.
The browser’s decoded working sample rate determines the Nyquist frequency, which is half that rate. A filter center at or above Nyquist is invalid, so the online equalizer disables that control and keeps lower bands available. This behavior is expected for a low-sample-rate decoded buffer and does not mean the browser failed to decode the rest of the audio.
The current online equalizer is free, requires no sign-up, and processes one file in browser memory. Selected audio is not sent to a Pitch Changer upload endpoint. Privacy-masked analytics capture coarse events such as first play or export completed while excluding the file, filename, duration, waveform, EQ settings, spectrum, and output bytes.
You can select MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, or OGG up to 80 MB when your browser supports the codec. The online equalizer exports a 16-bit WAV. It does not export compressed formats or preserve the source container, bitrate, tags, cover art, loudness metadata, and codec settings in the generated file.
No. It provides a focused ten-band EQ with a safety stage. It does not target streaming loudness, maximize volume, repair distortion, compress separate bands, limit to a commercial mastering specification, or boost system and browser-tab volume. Use a dedicated production workflow when you need metering, mastering, restoration, or delivery compliance.
No. The first online equalizer handles one selected local file at a time. It has no custom preset account, cloud sync, batch queue, microphone recording, URL downloader, Google Drive import, Dropbox import, or background task. Closing or reloading the tab clears the current curve, decoded audio, spectrum, and download state.
